Temporarily disable your webstore checkout

If you need to pause order processing without taking your entire store offline, WSM provides a simple option to disable the checkout functionality.

By enabling the Disable WebStore Checkout setting in WSM, customers will be prevented from placing any orders on your site. This can be especially helpful in situations such as:

  • Performing system maintenance or updates

  • Preparing for a new product launch

  • Resolving inventory or fulfillment issues

  • Managing unexpected downtime or troubleshooting

When this option is enabled, all other aspects of your WebStore remain visible—products, pages, and content can still be browsed—but customers won’t be able to complete purchases until you re-enable the checkout.


How to Disable WebStore Checkout

Steps:

  1. Log in to WSM.

  2. Go to Settings > All Config Options.

  3. Locate and enable Disable WebStore Checkout.

  4. Save your changes at the bottom of the page.
