Customizing products is a great way to offer customers more flexibility and personalization when shopping on your webstore. Whether it’s adding custom text, selecting colors, or choosing from different variations, product customization enhances the shopping experience and can help boost sales. In this article, we’ll walk you through the new product customization features and how to set them up effortlessly.
Enabling the New Product Customization Builder
Steps:
1. In WebStore Manager, under Settings > All Config Options, enable New Product Customization Builder.
2. Next, go to the Products tab and select Product Customization (New).
3. Click on the Add New Customization button.
4. A dropdown will appear, where you can choose from the following customization types:
- Variants
- Text Input
- Radio Buttons
You can then specify the customization options such as types, sizes, engravings.
5. For each customization, you have the option to adjust the price by:
- Adding a specific amount
- Subtracting from the base price
- No change
- Adding a percentage increase
6. After saving your customization, you can add additional options by clicking the Details button.
7. Once you've set up the customization, you can assign products to it by clicking on the Product Assignments button.
8. You can filter products by departments or categories, and search by product codes or names.
9. Select the customizable products from the left menu, the customizations from the right menu, and click Assign.
To assign multiple customizations to a product (or multiple products to a customization), use the following shortcuts:
- Shift + Click: Select a group of items
- Cmd + Click (macOS) or Ctrl + Click (Windows): Select specific items
10. To remove any assigned customizations, check the Remove Assignments box, then select the customizations and products you want to unassign.
Once the customization is assigned, it will appear above the Add to Cart button on the product page.
